Good News for thriller movies lovers: the production Sin retorno (d. Miguel Cohan) awarded this year at the tenth edition of Transilvania International Film Festival with both Transilvania Trophy and Best Screenplay Award (Ana Cohan) will soon be available for the romanian audience.
Transilvania Film purchased the rights for director Miguel Cohan’s debut film, a movie received with great interest on international festivals and well appreciated by critics. Sin Retorno also got three trophies at Valladoid Film Festival in 2010 (Best Film, Best Debut Directing, FIPRESCI Award).
The subject is centered on a man unjustly accused for a young man’s death, He is killed in a car accident and the guilty driver leaves the site, without any trace. The victim’s father, helped by the mass-media, starts a real hunt to find out who is culpable. A series of unfortunate events and a juridic system contaminated by the public opinion will lead to the conviction of an innocent man. Caught into a web knited by fate and desperate decisions, these people will face guilt, responsibility and acute need of redemption, in a tricky spiral from which there is no turning back.
The release in cinema is scheduled for the first part of 2012.
