Bucharest, July 22nd, 2011 – Transilvania Film continues this summer’s premiere series with a new appreciated production – White White World / Beli Beli Svet (directed by Oleg Novkovic).
Best Leading Role Actrice (Jasna Duricic) awarded at Locarno Film Festival (2010), and also with a special distinction from the jury of Mar del Plata Film Festival, this movie tells the story of King, once a miner, now a local bar owner from the serbian town – Bor. He was once involved with Ruzica, the town beauty and the wife of his boxing coach and mentor Animal. When Animal found out about their affair and flew into a murderous rage, Ruzica killed him. She went to jail. King went abroad, returning a few years later on a bike with enough money to open the bar. After seven years imprisoned the woman returns only to find King in a relationship with a young beautyful girl: her own daughter, Rosa.
Oleg Novkovic is one of the most important of Serbia’s New Filmmakers. His sensitive portrayals of ex- Yugloslavia’s ‘lost generation’ have won him the attention of international film festival and audiences. According to Variety „His movies have the delicate balance of well measured emotional tensions and hyper – realistic expression.”

The movie could be seen in Romania during the 10th Edition of Transilvania International Film Festival. The official release will take place on 29th of July.
